Japanese Cast Iron Teapot

The Cast Iron Teapot called a 'Tetsubin' in Japanese, has been a part of Japanese culture for a long time. It is traditionally a handcrafted object that was developed as a utensil for use in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. These Cast Iron Kettles are made by pouring molten iron into either clay or sand molds.

 

These teapots are made from solid cast iron with a stainless steel sieve for your tea leaves. The kettles come in an exquisite wooden package to give them sturdy protection, also making the kettles ideal for gifting purposes!

Care - Soap should not be used to clean an iron teapot.  After rinsing the tetsubin cast iron teapot thoroughly with water, it should be wiped dry with a clean cloth.
